Dr. Seuss Celebration

On Thursday, March 16, our Preschoolers, along with Parents and PK staff, at John R. King Academic and Performing Arts Academy celebrated March is Reading Month with a Dr. Seuss Celebration in the Media Center.  Parents were given valuable information on how to encourage and motivate their child to read.  Then, the preschoolers were invited down to take part in the Dr. Seuss Celebration.  There were different games and activities set up with Dr. Seuss themes.  Such games included Pin the Hat on the Cat, Letter Match-up, How Many Apples Up on Top, Fishing for Fish, as well as puzzles and different types of books that the students can read.  We finished the day with popcorn and a movie.  It was a fun time for all!  Thank you to all the parents who helped us on this special day!

Our next event will be in May for our Transition Meeting.  Be on the look-out for further information about this informational meeting on what to expect in Kindergarten.
